Bush warns of new holocaust
It is a shame that the consequences to Iraq and the world if we abandon the war are not evident to all but it is nevertheless true. As Bush correctly points out, a nuclear powered Iran could, and very likely would, lead to a holocaust.
Granted, you can ignore I’mademonjihad (Ahmadinejad) and his threats. You can ignore his statements that he wants to see Israel wiped from the face of the earth. You can stick your head in the sand and passively allow the slaughter of untold millions. Or, you can stand firm with President Bush- not a perfect man, by any means – but a man who is right on this point- that terrorism and radical Islam must be destroyed.

I don’t think it’s so much that people ignore it–I think it’s because they are too uneducated to understand it. Furthermore, certain political parties *cough, cough THE DEMOCRATS* cater to their ignorance because they don’t want them to know any better. It doesn’t help matters that they’ve somehow managed to undermine the Republican party as much as they have either. They can now just sneak in their snide comments anywhere they please and the public will accept them because they don’t know any better. For instance, I live in Sacramento and public transit officials are placing the sole blame for budget cuts on our Governor. I wrote a blog about it here. It’s kind of long and wordy, but I get that way when I’m angry at Democrats.

I have to say that I am a moderate but I don’t feel that Iran is a threat by themselves, ESPECIALLY to Iraq. Why would any country want to step foot there with a large force after looking on what is happening to us?
Now take into the fact the talks that they are having with Russia then yeah they are a threat to Isreal and Europe. Iran is a long way off of being a conventional threat to the US without us attacking them. And yes I believe that sooner rather than later we will have to address them but we need to figure out where we stand with Iraq. Iraq needs to be stable before we can even turn our thoughts to Iran.

Cam, I agree with the sentiment, but how can Iraq ever be stable if the Democrats keep blocking us from stabilizing it? They bash Bush at every chance and undermine our attempts to fix the problems in Iraq. Until they get over themselves, it is going to continue to be next to impossible to solve anything!

I agree, with the Government broken apart in what to do with Iraq it is impossible to make progress, in either direction. There are a lot of things that need to happen for us to succeed in Iraq. The Government needs to most importantly reach a decision and stand behind it, which we know will never happen. I don’t feel that Iraq is a lost cause, but our Government working on the issue of Iraq is.
