Liberals love the courts- it’s the only way they can force many of their crazy ideas on all us normal people
According to TheHill.com, Nancy Pelosi (Liberal, CA) is threatening sue President Bush (Good Guy, TX) if he attempts to defend presidential powers from congressional encroachment through a signing statement. This signing statement is a way Bush can sidestep the more foolish and dangerous segments that the Democrats forced into the Iraq war spending bill.
If Pelosi does sue, the case must go all the way to the Supreme Court where, thankfully, the majority has tilted away from the dark liberal tendencies that once controlled the highest court in the land to the enlightened, conservative side of the spectrum. Though one never knows, I believe the court under its current makeup would grasp the importance of the situation and rule in favor of Bush.
Either way, Pelosi is becoming more outlandish and dangerous. Conservatives must remove her from power. The best course of action is to throw her in jail for treason. In her recent trip to Damascus, she clearly violated the Constitutional provision that gives the president the authority to conduct foreign affairs. That’s what the separation of powers specified by the Constitution is all about. Bush has the State Department and the Secretary of State for such missions; Pelosi has no place here whatsoever. Further, the U.S. Supreme Court has previously established that Congress cannot “intrude” into the president’s responsibility of negotiating with foreign powers. Since she violated the Constitution, a felony offense, why is Pelosi freely walking about the streets today? Put her on trial now- there is plenty of evidence to convict and remove this troublesome San Francisco liberal from power. After all, as many liberals cry impeachment for both Bush and Chaney, what is good for the goose is good for the gander.

We had warned it would come to this. Basic freedoms are now being threatened by authoritarians who feel dissent is a crime punishable by prison. This is the tactic of tyranny used by such dictators as Hitler, Stalin and even Saddam Hussein himself, and has no place whatsoever in a democracy.
Why was there no threat of imprisonment for the six congressional legislators who accompanied Pelosi?
Where was your outcry over Republican congressman Ralph Wolf’s earlier trip to Syria (along with fellow Republicans Joe Pitts and Robert Aderholt) with his defiant cry of “I don’t care what the administration says on this. You’ve got to do what you think is in the best interest of your country”?
Who is it that is really becoming “more outlandish and dangerous? I say the authoritarians.

Although I do not lean in the overstated direction of jail, time, or even the use of the word treason, I do think the loudspeaker of the loudspeaker of the house did, as she is doing now, take a large leap from her good senses in visiting Syria. Anyone with a few working cells left in their brain could see, just by watching the video, exactly what her intention was. Her ridiculous display of “I am woman, hear me roar”, completely negates nearly all progress Bush has made by going on the offensive.
Pelosi should have well known how it was to be received that she would be playing the part of smiley gladhands with a leader that has known ties to the assassination of former Lebanese PM Rafik Hariri. Although I do not think it warrants any more than a loss of Democratic majority in Congress as well as no business in the White House, it was certainly unforgivable and completely tantamount to a slap in the face.

Then put Ralph Wolf, Joe Pitts and Robert Aderholt- as well as the 6 who went with Pelosi, in jail also. Why do we have laws if we are not going to enforce them? Now, are you going to state that Bush and Chaney should not be impeached?

Can you name even one congressperson who has been thrown in prison for this? Where is the precedent? As I said, that is the type of thing a dictator would do.
And for whatever my opinion on the matter is worth, I am not in favor of impeaching Bush and/or Cheney. We can take care of this thing by continuing to pressure our legislators. We just saw a group of Republicans meet with Bush to let him know that the lack of public support is taking its toll on the party. President Bush will have to work with Congress on this or the people will put a stop to it in 2008 by voting out the war party.
