Re-Revolutionize Like Reagan
My apologizes for having taken so long a time to post something new. I’ve had to work a lot of overtime recently. Why? So I can come up with the necessary funds to put into mine and my wifes IRA’s. The more you put in (a max of $8000 for a husband and a wife together) the less the government can steal from you.
Think well on this. Certain types of IRA’s allow you to deduct from your heavy tax burden- the money you put in, in other words, cannot be taxed. Imagine- a legal way to keep more of what you earn. What a concept.

A real hero, a real conservative, a real man
But I digress. The point of this post is to honor Ronald Reagan. In the third of a five part series on great presidents, I focus on what made the Great Communicator such a good leader. I also ask the question who, if any, of the current presidential want-to-be’s measure up. On a scale of 1 to 10, Clinton is a zero (lacking Reagan’s charm, wisdom, and, indeed, any quality he possessed). Obama is a 1, having at least the ability to charm a crowd (sadly, there is nothing but liberal fantasy behind the talk). And McCain ranks a 2- he at least claims to be conservative and does understand (as Reagan did of the USSR) the threat that currently faces our country- terrorism. I hope you enjoy the column.
In an aside, I’m listening to an audio book by Bob Schieffer on the history of Face the Nation. Interesting. In it he discusses Nikita Kruschev who, in his groundbreaking interview for Face the Nation, said the grandchildren of 1950’s television viewers would be living under socialism. Sad that he turned out to be right.
