The Senate Dictator?

by Jeff OBryant

Sen. Arlen Specter recently called Reid “dictatorial” in reference to his obnoxious behavior and, particularly, to the all nighter that revealed how big a failure the majority party is.

As to being dictatorial, what else would you expect from a Democrat, the totalitarian party of America? They want to force their view (that government can do for you what they think you’re too stupid to do for yourself) upon everybody.

For example, you can’t opt out of Social Security because they have forced it on you- clearly, they believe you’re too stupid to plan for your own retirement in a country that’s economy is the envy of the world.

And their attack dog, the ACLU, forces a minority view that no crosses should be displayed on public lands in as many cases as it possibly can. Again, you must be stupid if you have faith in or simply believe in God.

They also use activist judges to impose their twisted view of reality on students who simply want to participate in JROTC in high school. Why, don’t those stupid boys know that their freedom came from the halls of Congress and not the military heroes who fought and died? Or so the liberal “logic” goes.

There are a lot of other things they force upon the people as well- and so I can’t think of many better words for them than totalitarian.

One Response to “The Senate Dictator?”

  1. Douglas Burkhart Says:

If the overwhelming majority of Americans want to bring the troops home from Iraq — as the polls show they do — and if the Democrats are acting on the will of the people regarding this matter, how can that be considered totalitarian or dictatorial?

If the overwhelming majority of Americans support the Social Security program — as poll after poll show they do — and the Democrats are representing the will of the people on this issue, how can it be said the Democrats have “forced it on you” or are acting in a totalitarian manner?

The Democrats are “the totalitarian party of America”?

Let’s review a few facts. It is the Republican President Bush who is currently overriding the will of the people on such things as Iraq and embryonic stem cell research. It was the Republicans who rankled the overwhelming majority of Americans with their theatrics meddling in the Schiavo case. It was the Republicans who fought against raising the minimum wage, again against the majority sentiment. Likewise it is mostly the Republicans who are attempting to overturn Roe v Wade, which again is not the will of the majority of Americans.

Just who is attempting to dictate to whom?
