Why liberals are confused
All I can say to this piece is wow. Vasko Kohlmayer wins RightNewsandViews appellation of “Columnist of the Week” for Of Flatulent Cows and Liberal Madness. Kohlmayer lays out exactly why conservatives view liberals as lacking sound judgment. He sites examples of these perceived lapses in judgment and then offers an explanation as to why obviously intelligent liberals are nevertheless clearly confused. It is their war against God that has clouded their minds.
He states: “The left is more than just atheistic; it is rabidly so. But this is a very precarious state to be in and something that a very wise book expressly cautions against. There we learn that those who turn on God will be afflicted with ‘madness, blindness and confusion of mind.’”
I am ashamed I did not understand this before. Instead of attempting to reason with liberals we should pray for them. Lest I sound arrogant I clearly know that we are all sinners- every single one of us. And I’m thankful that there are people out there praying for me. Of course,
sometimes it is difficult to act towards others as you should. All too often I savagely attack liberals. Kohlmayer’s piece reminds me that, though their problems differ from my own, we all need God’s forgiveness and love.
So let us pray for ourselves for forgiveness of our sins, pray for one another for strength, courage, and wisdom, and pray for changed hearts and minds in those who are at war against God.

You are right about the “wow” part!
This blog just had a discussion about how vitriolic the liberals are and now you link to an article from a conservative who uses these accusations and depictions to describe liberals:
“…the rapidly growing ranks of crazies crowding the leftist loony land…the left has become a powerful magnet for the unhinged of all stripes…Whatever else can be said about the left, godlessness is its cardinal trait…The left is more than just atheistic; it is rabidly so…They have been stricken with that moral madness that so frequently grips those who turn against God…It is a great tragedy that contemporary western leftists have shown themselves more than worthy heirs of their communist cousins…In addition to wreaking all kinds of social and economic havoc, their bloodlust has claimed more than forty million unborn in America alone…crazed devotees of infanticide and sexual perversion shamelessly flaunting and promoting their twisted ways…have been struck with moral madness whereby they believe that evil is good and darkness light…Behold liberals and be warned. Mocking God can carry a terrible price indeed”
All this in one relatively short essay.
Kohlmayer’s specific examples? Al Gore (whom he calls “unbalanced” and proves this by linking to a picture of Gore speaking and obviously shouting to make a point), Hilary Clinton, and John Edwards — all of whom are Christians.
I would refer your readers to the 3/31/07 Newsweek Poll that shows 91% of Americans claiming to believe in God, with only 3% claiming to be atheists. That being so, how can any honest person see this article as anything other than a totally false and vicious attack?
This isn’t about religion; it is about the freedom to form one’s opinion on the issues in accordance with one’s own conscience and religious understanding.
And you award this man “Columnist of the Week”?

I don’t like this article one bit.
In a time period where the greatest threat to the stability of this world is fundamentalist Islam, this columnist says:
“It is an observable fact that the more virulently anti-God people are, the madder they as a rule become.”
Talk to someone in Tehran about that.
God and religion were easy explanations for the unknown in the infancy of our species. It has no place in rule of government, especially not in a country as diverse as ours.
